Yoga Nidra: Relax, Reset, Recharge || An Ode to England - v. 1

I go through phases where I only want to do self-guided Yoga Nidra.  I was in that phase during a recent trip to England.  This Nidra was inspired by a self-guided one that I used often during the trip, especially the breath awareness stage of the meditation where you can watch your breath moving from your feet to the top of your head, and then back down. I practiced a version of this Nidra over and over throughout the trip especially when I woke up early before my partner was ready to go. I also used the mantra “So hum” (which translates to “I am that”) and it helped me feel more at home in my body and helped bring me comfort. The rotation of images included in the meditation are all inspired by images from the Hereford portion of our trip where we went on a 3-day cycling tour of the area with a small cycling group of very kind, sincere, and joyful people.  I included actual pictures of some of the things that inspired the rotation of images but I recommend doing the Nidra first and then maybe taking a peek at the photos below. I hope that you enjoy this Nidra as much as I do!

* Please note that these blog posts are written by an actual, real-life human being (me!).  They are not copied and pasted from other websites and they’re not written or edited by AI.  There might be occasional grammatical and spelling errors and maybe some dangling prepositions, modifiers, etc.  I understand that “blogging” might be considered old-school and I’m okay with that.  I do this writing because writing helps keep me sharp and I do it in hopes that someone else will find reassurance that they’re not alone out there in this world! And most importantly,  I write in hopes that it will help someone else find Yoga Nidra and meditation.  I think those 2 things can help change the world, one person at a time. *
